The NSF CISE CAREER Proposal Writing Workshop is a workshop sponsored by the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) Directorate. The purpose of the workshop is to provide guidance and support to early-career faculty members who are planning to apply for the NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program award. The workshop aims to help these individuals in developing successful research and education plans, and to provide a platform for meeting with NSF program directors, and networking and exchanging ideas with other early-career CISE faculty members.
The upcoming CAREER workshop is scheduled to take place on April 17, 2023. It will be held virtually via Zoom from the NSF headquarters in Alexandria, VA. We have planned a comprehensive, full-day program, featuring presentations and panel discussions by NSF program directors, insights from prior CAREER Award recipients, and program-specific breakout sessions where attendees will have the opportunity to interact with CISE program directors in smaller groups. We expect all invited participants to fully engage and attend the entire program on April 17. Participants will have the opportunity to schedule one-on-one meetings with program directors in the rest of the week (April 18-21), which will also be held remotely via Zoom.
